Richard G. Whitworth obtained a bachelor's degree in paralegal studies from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1983 and a law degree, cum laude, from Southern University Law Center in 1988. While in law school, Richard served as vice justice for Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International and received the Meritorious Service Award. In 1988, Richard began practicing law in the Baton Rouge area, limiting his practice to the service of personal injury clients. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the Louisiana Association for Justice.
