Robert Lesley Brown

Robb joined Cavanaugh & Thickens in 2021. Before joining C&T, he managed the liability litigation section of the Columbia, South Carolina office of a large multi-state insurance defense law firm. Robb has 14 years of experience representing some of the largest insurance companies in America. He understands how insurance companies evaluate and process claims, as well as how to ensure that an insurance company is properly evaluating and handling your claim. In addition to representing individuals, Robb serves as private counsel for a South Carolina state agency, where he routinely advises them in regulatory and procurement matters ranging from small local contracts to multi-million-dollar federal military contracts.

He has been recognized as a U.S. News Best Lawyers member in 2020 and 2021, and he was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2013 to 2020. In 2020 he was elected to become a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an invitation-only national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges. Many lawyers call themselves “trial lawyers,” but very few lawyers are willing to present their case to a jury. Having tried more than 50 cases to verdict, Robb is a trial lawyer first and foremost and has the experience to speak to juries on behalf of clients who otherwise might not have a voice.
