One of Pennsylvania's best known and most respected lawyers, Robert W. Munley founded the firm in 1959. A native of Scranton, he attended the University of Scranton and graduated from Temple University School of Law. He is a veteran of the Korean War. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1959 and in 1999 celebrates his fortieth year of practicing law.
He served on the Board of Governors of the American Trial Lawyers Association and is a past President of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers as well as the Lackawanna County Bar Association. He is accredited as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and is listed in the book The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Munley is also listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
Currently, Mr. Munley serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees of Landmark College, Putney, Vermont, as a Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, as a Board Member of the Everhart Museum, Scranton, Pennsylvania, as the Historian of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, as a Diplomat of the National Board of Trial Advocacy, as a member of the Roscoe Pound Foundation, and as a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers.
He is married and the father of six children, all of whom are attorneys.
