      Biography

Ron was born in Dallas, Texas, and attended high school at Missouri Military Academy. After completing majors in sociology and professional aviation at the University of Oklahoma and graduating in 1997, Ron began his career as a professional pilot. While maintaining his career as a pilot, he earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2001, where he was a member of the International Law Journal.

Ron’s original practice consisted of representing aviation entities and pilots, while maintaining his aviation career as a full-time pilot instructor and charter captain. He then broadened his practice to include catastrophic personal injury law and wrongful death, including truck and bus accidents, oil field explosions, aviation disasters, and workplace injuries. Ron continues to exercise his pilot privileges and maintains his Airline Transport Permit and pilot instructor ratings.

Throughout his career, Ron has tried numerous catastrophic injury cases with success. This is reflected by Ron being awarded the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethics by Martindale-Hubbell (AV Preeminent), as well as being selected as a Texas Super Lawyer for four consecutive years. Ron has also been selected as a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Most recently, Ron was selected as one of the top trial lawyers in Texas by The National Trial Lawyers Association.

Ron is a member of the American Bar Association and Dallas Bar Association. He is also an active member of the American Association of Justice, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and serves as a Board Member of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association.
