      Biography

Ron has been engaged in the public and private practice of law since 1972, with a primary emphasis on litigation, business and environmental project development, and international trade. As a litigator, Ron secured the largest state court jury verdict in New Hampshire history. He also participated in a trial team that achieved the de-institutionalization of New Hampshire's mental retardation institutions, and successfully litigated the only dismissal of a "potentially responsible party" in the history of Superfund.

Ron is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in New Hampshire and Rhode Island. He has represented United States companies establishing themselves in the international marketplace, including projects in Ecuador, Brazil, Bolivia, Turkey, South Africa, Canada, and the British Isles. He participated in the White House Conference on Trade and Investment and the ensuing U.S. Department of Commerce Trade Mission in Ireland, and in 1998 was appointed Commercial Consul to the United Kingdom by then-Governor Shaheen.

In 2009, Ron was inducted into The Litigation Counsel of America, Fellow of the Trial Lawyer Honorary Society. The LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishments in litigation and superior ethical reputation. As well, he is a member of The Diversity Law Institute and the Institute of Trial Presentation.

Outside the practice of law, Ron spent five years as president and CEO of the first secure solid waste facility in the United States.

In November of 2014, Ron was named AV Preeminent® (4.5-5.0) in the 2014 Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review RatingsTM. AV Preeminent® is a significant rating accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.
