Russell Andrews Kerr

Mr. Kerr began his legal career with a highly regarded insurance defense firm located in Rockville, Maryland, a suburb of the Washington DC Metro Area, where he defended auto negligence cases and workers’ compensation cases and also prosecuted damage to underground facilities for a large Mid Atlantic utility. Upon moving to Florida Mr. Kerr expanded his areas of practice to include corporate, real estate and immigration matters. In 2007, Mr. Kerr established the law firm Russell Kerr, P.A. with an emphasis on business and real estate transactions, civil litigation and immigration law. Mr. Kerr has extensive experience in real estate and business matters which include a wide array of transactions from residential and commercial real transactions to small business matters to complex mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Kerr is also actively engaged in finding practical immigration solutions for his clients in this everchanging complex area of federal law. While practicing law here in South Florida, Mr. Kerr played a significant role in the development a 25 MW biomass facility located in the Greater Toronto Area, which achieved commercial operation in June, 2015. Mr. Kerr continues sit on the board of directors of Index Energy. Mr. Kerr earned his undergraduate degree from the Franciscan University of Steubenville and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Mr. Kerr is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Florida, Maryland Court of Appeals and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Mr. Kerr is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
