      Biography

      Ryan Bresler is a partner at the law firm of Tanney, Griffith & Bresler, P.A. The firm only represents persons injured or killed due to the negligence of the other party. As a trial lawyer, Ryan has tried many personal injury cases to verdict in both State and Federal Court.

      Ryan is a true Florida native being born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1999, and then attended the University of South Florida. Ryan obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Finance with a minor in International Business from USF in 2003. He was also selected as a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society while at USF.

      Ryan then attended Stetson University College of Law receiving his law degree from Stetson in 2006. Stetson is Florida's first law school and is nationally recognized as one top trial advocacy programs. While at Stetson Ryan clerked for a semester with the Honorable Shawn Crane, and was accepted to the Certified Legal Internship Program where he interned with the Pinellas County State Attorney's office. Ryan tried two jury trials to verdict while interning with the Pinellas County State Attorney's Office.

      Ryan began his career as a trial lawyer serving as a prosecutor at the Pinellas County State Attorney's Office in 2006. As a prosecutor Ryan was assigned to handle cases ranging from traffic, misdemeanor and felony offenses. He tried over 40 jury trials to verdict including armed burglary, manslaughter, drug trafficking, and aggravated child abuse. He was also specifically appointed to handle domestic violence and child abuse cases.

      In 2011, Ryan left State Attoney's Office to join his current firm. Since then, Ryan has focused his career specializing in plaintiffs' personal injury and wrongful death cases. Since then, Ryan has become board certified in Civil Trial Law by the state of Florida and by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has received an AV Preeminent peer reviewed rating from MartinDale. He also been selected as a SuperLawyer Rising Star for multiple years. Ryan is also been selected to be a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 attorneys, and is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

      Ryan is also a member of the Clearwater Bar and St. Petersburg Bar Associations. He is currently a Board of Director for the Clearwater Bar, and has previously been the Chair of the Civil Practice Section on multiple occasions for the Clearwater Bar, and has previously served as the Chair of the Law Week Committee for the St. Petersburg Bar Association.

      Outside of his professional life, Ryan enjoys his time with is wife and two children. Some of the things he enjoys most with his family is hiking, playing in the pool, boating, family bike rides and coaching his kids' soccer teams.
