Ryan Duty is proud to be Morgan & Morgan's first attorney in the Pittsburgh Office. He has roots in the area, as he has lived around Pittsburgh for most of his life and attended law school there, graduating from Duquesne University School of Law in 2010.
Ryan has spent his entire legal career advocating for victims of nursing home abuse and neglect, often at the hands of large nursing home corporations that unfortunately too often emphasize profits over the care provided to the residents. He has proudly represented nursing home residents and their families when severe injuries resulted from inadequate nursing care. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Ryan worked for a nationally preeminent nursing home litigation firm in their Pittsburgh office. During this time, Ryan was involved in numerous high profile nursing home cases in Pennsylvania, and tried multiple cases to verdict, most recently obtaining an $800,000 verdict on behalf of a nursing home resident in western Pennsylvania. Overall, he helped recover more than $50 million on behalf of his injured clients in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. At Morgan & Morgan, Ryan continues to represent those who have been harmed due to inadequate care, at nursing homes as well as hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
While in law school, Ryan was a member of Duquesne's nationally recognized Trial Advocacy Program. He competed in multiple national competitions and was selected to the Order of the Barristers for his advocacy skill.
Ryan is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Arkansas. He is a member of the American Association of Justice, the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Pennsylvania Association of Justice.
