Ashar Ahmed is a member of Nossaman's Litigation Department focusing on the financial services industry. Mr. Ahmed has litigated cases involving class action securities, derivative, and consumer fraud in both state and federal courts. He has worked with clients in the private equity, mortgage banking, retail banking, retail, pharmaceutical, and telecommunications industries.
As a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Ahmed brings a unique blend of experience to Nossaman, allowing him to advise clients from both a legal and business-oriented perspective. He has experience managing complex discovery matters, conducting and defending depositions, and drafting complaints and briefs for major dispositive motions in both federal and state court.
Mr. Ahmed served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John T. Noonan, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for the Honorable John E. Munter, Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco.
