RANDALL ("RANDY") HOOD focuses his practice on representing individuals who have been catastrophically injured in a preventable accident or representing persons who have been wronged by an act of a corporation on a large scale basis. His catastrophic injury practice includes persons injured in a medical malpractice case, nursing home abuse/neglect situation, product liability case, tractor trailer collision, or some other serious incident. The catastrophic injuries suffered by some of his clients have included brain injury, burn injury, paralysis, amputation, cerebral palsy and death. Randall also represents persons who have suffered some type of injury due to wrongful conduct on behalf of a corporation or organized entity. This type of situation presents an opportunity for Randall to represent a class of individuals (Class Action) or many individual claims in a consolidated action against corporate entities (Multi District Litigation or MDL).
Randall was born in Macon Georgia and moved to Charlotte North Carolina when he was 12 years old. He attended public schools in Charlotte, North Carolina and attended college at the local University in Charlotte, North Carolina (University of North Carolina at Charlotte). Randall graduated from college in 1985 and worked in retail management for four years before going to the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1989.
Randall attended law school for period of three years and graduated in May, 1992. He began practicing in the area of personal injury with a law firm which would become known as McMehan, Weidner, Hood & Jackson. Randall stayed with that firm for five years before he began practicing law with James C. Anders, P.A. and Associates. He practiced with that firm until 2003. At that time, Randall Hood and Chad McGowan formed the firm which would come to be known as McGowan, Hood & Felder. The firm currently has three offices which are located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina and Anderson, South Carolina.
Randall is the proud parent of his daughter Lacy. He currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, though he spends many weekends on Lake Wylie in South Carolina. Though he lives in North Carolina, Randall practices law in South Carolina which is located within fifteen (15) minutes of his home. He currently attends a non-denominational church in Charlotte, North Carolina. When not practicing law, Randall spends his time golfing, enjoying time with family and friends, playing at Lake Wylie, following the Carolina Panthers football team (and anything football related) and dabbling in real estate.
