Samantha Preston is an associate in the firm's Miami Office. She practices in the area of first party property litigation, insurance coverage disputes and carrier representation.Ms. Preston received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in English from Spelman College. She subsequently received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Preston served as Editor-In-Chief of the Race and Social Justice Law Review. She also participated in the Street Law program, where she taught law related subjects on a weekly basis to students at her high school alma mater-Miami Northwestern Senior High School. In addition, Ms. Preston was selected to represent UM Law in the Florida Supreme Court Internship for Distinguished Florida Law Students, where she served as a judicial intern for Florida Supreme Court Justice R. Fred Lewis.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Preston was an associate with an insurance defense boutique law firm, where she primarily handled worker's compensation cases.
