Samantha earned her J.D. from Washburn University School of Law, where she was awarded the highest merit scholarship and graduated with honors. She also earned a B.A. in Spanish Language, and is a fluent Spanish speaker.
As a law student, Samantha participated in her school's Civil Law Clinic, where she represented plaintiffs in various civil matters. She also interned for the Missouri Office of the Public Defender, where she worked in the Felony Division.
Before joining Costello & Mains, Samantha practiced immigration removal defense, representing asylum seekers and others in pursuit of immigration status. She also practiced housing and public benefits law, including Unemployment and Social Security Disability. In these roles, Samantha vigorously defended the rights of clients against a wide range of government agencies and employers.
