Samantha Pugh was born and raised near Dayton, Ohio. She graduated summa cum laude from Wright State University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Spanish.
After her time at Wright State, Ms. Pugh moved to Columbus to begin working toward her juris doctorate at The Ohio State University. While at Ohio State, Ms. Pugh was a successful member of the trial team, where she began developing her litigation skills. She also served as the Symposium Editor of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law. Her work in this position resulted in her being named the 2020-2021 Executive Board Member of the Year. In addition, Ms. Pugh received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in both Critical Race Narratives and Trial Practice.
Above all, Ms. Pugh has always remained committed to protecting the rights of individuals who find themselves in the criminal justice system. As a result of this passion for and commitment to criminal law, Ms. Pugh received the 2020 Dressler Award for Excellence in Criminal Law. Prior to coming to Soroka & Associates, Ms. Pugh worked at the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office. This experience has given her tremendous insight into the system, allowing to her better defend clients and ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved.
When not at work, Ms. Pugh can likely be found running or walking her dog on one of the local trails or trying new restaurants in the Columbus area.
Ms. Pugh is skilled in all areas of criminal and domestic litigation.
