Sarah Peterson practices in the area of family law at Collins, Buckley, Sauntry & Haugh, P.L.L.P. After spending two years at Collins Buckley as a law clerk, Sarah is excited to continue her legal career at Collins Buckley as an associate attorney. She uses her background in accounting to aid clients with complex financial issues through separation and divorce. Sarah is passionate about women's issues and volunteers with Tubman Safety Project. In just two years of practice, Sarah has worked on several appeals regarding spousal maintenance. Sarah handles matters of divorce, orders for protection, spousal support, post-divorce matters, and appeals.
Personal BioSarah excels at oral arguments and legal writing. Throughout her education, Sarah competed on trial advocacy teams. While in law school, Sarah was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team and an officer of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity. During her final year of school, Sarah was the editor of Adelphia-the national law journal of Delta Theta Phi. Sarah is dedicated to her alma mater, Kansas State University. As an alumna, Sarah has been on the Leadership Council for the Young Alumni Leaders association of the College of Business and is currently the Finance Advisor for her sorority Alpha Gamma Delta, Epsilon Chi chapter.
During her free time, Sarah reads from her collection of over 200 books and spends time with her critters, a twenty-pound cat named Walter and a black lab named Annie.
