Sarah has been fighting for victims of sexual and domestic violence for over a decade and continues to do so at Donelan Law. Sarah was a Senior Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Greene County where she prosecuted child physical and sexual abuse, sexual assaults, physical elder abuse, and domestic violence cases.
Before joining the prosecutor’s office, Sarah was the Managing Attorney for the Domestic Violence Unit at Legal Services of Southern Missouri, where she assisted victims of domestic violence in a variety of areas including orders of protection, family law, and immigration.
Sarah began her legal career clerking for the Honorable William W. Francis, Jr. at the Missouri Southern District Court of Appeals. During law school, Sarah completed internships with the United Nations Inter-Agency Project on Human Trafficking in Thailand and with the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Before entering law, Sarah served in the United States Peace Corps in Timor-Leste.
Sarah has extensive training in the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence. She is trained in the Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview (FETI) methodology and the Child First Forensic Interview Protocol. Sarah is frequently requested to present on legal topics including orders of protection, domestic violence, and jury instructions.
Sarah graduated from Washington University in Saint Louis with her Juris Doctor and Master of Social Work. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University in San Antonio.
