      Biography

      Scott Henratty's primary focus at Morgan & Morgan is on catastrophic injury cases in the fields of medical malpractice, defective products, and motor vehicle accidents. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Mr. Henratty practiced as a civil trial attorney with the famed Ft. Lauderdale-based law firm, Krupnick Campbell Malone, where he focused on matters involving medical malpractice, product/vehicle injury and wrongful death. Previously, he had formed the boutique Malove Henratty Law Firm with attorney Stephen Malove formally of the storied Miami law firm of Spence Payne Masington and spent more than a decade there representing the catastrophically injured against giant insurance companies. His successful career in jury trials and multiple eight figure verdicts earned Mr. Henratty the distinction of being named the Most Effective Personal Injury Lawyer in 2011 by ALM's Daily Business Review. Mr. Henratty has over 50 trials to verdict. He has obtained over 40 million dollars in verdicts and 90 million in settlements. He was inducted into the prestigious trial group of (ABOTA) in 2013, became Board Certified as a specialist in Civil trial law by the Florida Bar in 2017. That same year Mr. Henratty served as President of the Broward County Trial Lawyers association and continues as an Eagle member of the Florida Justice Association. Mr. Henratty is a member of The National Trial Lawyers which recognized him as one of the Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Lawyers in Florida.

      A Florida native, Mr. Henratty graduated from the University of Florida and received his juris doctor from Mississippi College School of Law. He has attended trial colleges at the Stetson University and the University of Florida. Mr. Henratty is a founder and President of the Frankie Foundation, a Florida 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which provides Automated External Defibrillators (AED'S) to other charities and churches.
