Scott M. Strand is a civil litigator practicing primarily in the areas of insurance litigation and personal injury. In the area of insurance litigation, Scott has handled hundreds of insurance defense matters on behalf of insurance companies and their insurers in defense of liability claims including personal injury, products liability, and property damage. Scott has also been retained to represent insurers in several first-party insurance disputes and coverage matters. Additionally, Scott handles subrogation matters on behalf of some of his insurer clients.
In the area of personal injury, Scott has represented numerous individuals in personal injury and wrongful death claims throughout North Dakota and Minnesota.
Scott is actively involved within the legal community. He has previously served as president of numerous associations including the North Dakota Defense Lawyers Association, the Cass County Bar Association, the Clay County Bar Association, and the Seventh District Bar Association in Minnesota. He has also served as a district representative of the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association, representing the Districts of North Dakota and South Dakota. Scott is an active member of the North Dakota and Minnesota State Bar Associations and the Defense Research Institute.
Scott is also involved in the local community having served on the Board of Directors for Access of the Red River Valley and as a current board member of the Fargo Theatre.
