"I enjoy being a lawyer because it allows me to help and serve others. Helping and serving others is something my family has always emphasized to me in one way or another. My mom was a nurse that specialized in taking care of elderly people. She taught me the importance of making an effort to care for and respect people who were going through difficult times. Helping others was something she did every day and she received great satisfaction in doing so. My family also emphasized military service. My grandfather was a career Air Force man. I had three great uncles that fought in World War II. My father served in Vietnam. My aunt was a trauma nurse in Vietnam. My uncle was in the Air Force. My cousin was a Marine in Desert Storm. My brother served in the Navy aboard the USS Houston and I served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Being a lawyer is another way to help and serve others."
Sean grew up just outside of Houston in Spring, Texas. Following high school, Sean received an appointment to attend the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After graduating from the Academy, Sean was commissioned as an Air Force officer and served for five years. "I loved being in the Air Force, travelling all over the world, working with a tight knit group of people, but I really wanted to come home to Houston and be near my family."
After returning to Houston, Sean attended the University of Houston Law Center and graduated magna cum laude. During law school he served on the Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif and Order of Barons.
Sean began his law practice by joining one of the largest international law firms and representing Fortune 500 type corporations in complex commercial litigation. He was part of a trial team that defended the largest copyright case ever. "I enjoyed learning the fundamental aspects of how to litigate large and complex cases, but a large international law firm caters to only a select group of clients. I wanted to be part of a leaner and more flexible law practice that would allow me to have a wider litigation practice. I also wanted to be part of a firm known for its trial lawyers."
For that reason, Sean came to Williams Kherkher Hart Boundas Law Firm, LLP, where he represents individuals, trade associations, and businesses of all types and sizes in a wide range of litigation matters. "What I love about Williams Kherkher Hart Boundas LLP is that the firm's values of client service mirror the values my family instilled in me. We serve all of our clients-individuals, small businesses, trade associations, and large companies-through difficult times and fight to protect their best interest no matter who we are up against."
Sean has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of cases such as class actions, breach of contract disputes, consumer rights claims, international investment treaty disputes, and intellectual property claims. He has extensive experience with electronic discovery matters. Sean is licensed to practice in Texas, as well as before the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern District Courts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits.
Away from the office, Sean spends his free time relaxing at home with his family or training and competing in triathlons.
