Stephen Vargo

Stephen ("Steve") Vargo is an associate attorney at McDonald Pierangeli Macfarlane, PLLC located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Steve brings the firm a diverse range of practice experience and has represented clients in legal matters such as civil litigation, personal injury, contract disputes, criminal defense, driver's license restoration, expungements, custody, divorce and family law matters, property matters, estate planning, appeals, and others.

As a Grand Rapids lawyer, Steve is devoted to his clients and has represented all walks of life. He cares about his clients and strongly believes that clear and open communication is key to developing good attorney-client relationships. He stands up for the rights of his clients and their families, and ensures that they are effectively represented.

Steve is a family man. His wife, Andrea, is a special education teacher and they have three children. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles and ATVs.

Prior to joining McDonald Pierangeli Macfarlane, PLLC, Steve worked for R.J. Baker & Associates, PLLC and also served the community by volunteering his time as defense counsel for the Allegan County Sobriety Treatment Court.

Steve is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan, United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He was born and raised in West Michigan and obtained his J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University and an Associate Degree from Grand Rapids Community College.
