Steven J. Flodman has developed an extensive practice in the domestic relations field. His rural background has allowed him to develop an expertise and understanding of the unique and difficult issues that arise in divorces involving agriculture operations. He has been a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1983 and is one of only a small number of Lincoln lawyers listed in the Family Law section of The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Flodman's expertise in domestic relations is widely known, as he regularly presents the current developments portion of family law seminars to lawyers and judges alike. Mr. Flodman has also litigated a variety of cases at both the state and federal level. Those cases have covered a variety of subjects including toxic shock syndrome, sale of diseased livestock, Uniform Commercial Code breach of warranty cases, automobile negligence, liability for a prairie fire ignited by the heat of an automobile engine equipped with a catalytic converter, apartment complex fire, and numerous farm liability matters. Mr. Flodman previously served as an adjunct professor of legal writing the University of Nebraska College of Law. Mr. Flodman has developed an extensive mediation practice. He is certified as a high-conflict domestic relations mediator.
