      Biography

      Mr. Hamner grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School. He received his undergraduate from Auburn University. Following college, Mr. Hamner worked as a claims adjuster for over 15 years before returning to law school. Mr. Hamner received his Juris Doctorate from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law located at Faulkner University in Montgomery.

      During his final year of Law School, Mr. Hamner clerked with a personal injury law firm in Dothan, Alabama. Upon completion of his education, he left this firm to form Carey & Hamner, P.C., with colleague, Terry M. Carey. Mr. Hamner handles cases primarily in the area of personal injury, but has also helped clients in the areas of criminal defense, social security, workers compensation, child support and adoption. He is a member of the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the Alabama State Bar and the Houston County Bar Association.

      Mr. Hamner married the former Kay Tatom in 1984. They have two children, Jordan Alexis Hamner and Steven Brock Hamner. He was raised in the Methodist church and currently attends Covenant United Methodist Church in Dothan, Alabama. He also enjoys sports, fishing, playing the guitar and quality family time.
