Suzanne Vetter Burnett focuses solely on personal injury matters-primarily car crashes, premises liability, and nursing home abuse and neglect cases.
Suzanne is a Maryland native who grew up in Baltimore City. She briefly left Maryland to attend Virginia Tech where she studied Political Science and Professional Writing. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and received her Bachelor's Degree. Suzanne then moved back to Baltimore City and continued her studies at The University of Baltimore School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude.
After finishing law school, Suzanne moved to Annapolis and began her career as a Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable Laura S. Keissling in the Circuit Court of Anne Arundel County. After completing her clerkship, she joined a firm and practiced solely personal injury Plaintiff's work. During that time, Suzanne gained extensive litigation experience representing injured individuals against big business insurance companies.
In 2012, after practicing law only two years, The Daily Record of Maryland honored Suzanne as a "Top Twenty in their Twenties" Award Recipient for her professional accomplishments and service to the community. Suzanne is a founding member of the Young Patrons for Maryland Hall for Creative Arts and is actively involved with the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) - Anne Arundel County. Suzanne serves on the Anne Arundel Bar Association's Board of Trustees (AABA) and is the former chair of the AABA New Lawyers Committee. She is also an active member of the Prince George's County Bar Association, The Maryland Association for Justice, and the Maryland State Bar. Suzanne has been recognized by Super Lawyers with the reveled distinction of 'A Rising Star' in Maryland and Washington D.C.-yearly since 2013.
In 2016 and 2017, Suzanne was honored by The National Trial Lawyers as a "Top 40 Under 40" Award Recipient. She was named one of "Maryland's Outstanding Young Lawyers" by the American Registry for Top Attorneys in 2016. In 2018, Suzanne was named, "Top 10 Attorney" by The National Academy of Personal Injury Lawyers. Additionally, she was chosen to 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 Super Lawyers Rising Stars. In June 2018, Suzanne received the President's Award from the Anne Arundel Bar Association. The award is selected by the AABA president, Steve Wrobel. Suzanne was recognized for her work on the board. Most notably, Suzanne played a large role in helping to plan the AABA Barristers Ball which raised funds to benefit veterans. She is a recent member of The National Women Trial Lawyers Association - Top 25 who exemplify superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, and performance in their area of specialty. Suzanne lives in Annapolis with her husband, Andrew, their son, Brooks, daughter, Quinn, and rescue dog, Koco.
