      Biography

      Tom is a graduate of Kenyon College and The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Ohio, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, with over 30 years experience in commercial and business litigation, general civil litigation, medical negligence, employment, construction, product liability, toxic tort, personal injury litigation and equine law.

      Tom's professional honors include Fellow American College of Trial Lawyers, and Senior Fellow Litigation Counsel of America. Tom is rated "AV Preeminent (Judicial Edition)" by Martindale Hubbell and is an Ohio Super Lawyer and a Super Lawyer - Business Litigation. Tom was honored to be selected by his peers to be included in The Best Lawyers in America© for his work in the practice area of Commercial Litigation. His professional memberships include Master, Inns of Court; Dayton Lawyers Club and the American College of Equine Attorneys. Tom is a Commissioner with the Ohio Board of Professional Conduct.

      Tom's commitment to community service is seen in his leadership and service activities with organizations such as the Clean Ohio Trails Fund Advisory Board (member), the Ohio Trails Partnership (board member), the ODNR Ohio Trail Plan Advisory Committee, the Ohio State Bar Association Board of Elections (past member), the Ohio Horseman's Council (past state president, vice president, director), the Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project (volunteer), Rhythm in Shoes, Inc. (president, board of directors), Kettering Rotary Foundation (founding board member), the Dayton Country Club, Inc. (past president and board member), and teaching trial practice at the University of Dayton School of Law.

      Tom was also just announced as a member of the 2020 Super Lawyers list.
