      Biography

      Tim Hurley practices in the area of general civil litigation, including contracts, business torts, franchise disputes, and election law and protests. He also practices in the area of appellate litigation, having successfully argued cases before appellate courts in both South Carolina and Mississippi. Prior to attending graduate school at the University of Notre Dame, Tim practiced law with the firm of Daniel, Coker, Horton & Bell, P.A. in Jackson, Mississippi.

      In addition to practicing law, Tim's career has included teaching philosophy at the college level, including the University of Notre Dame, Furman University, and Greenville Technical College. His areas of specialization are political philosophy and philosophy of law, and areas of competence include ethics, logic, professional ethics, and history of philosophy.

      During his tenure in academia, Tim continued to be involved in the legal profession. Among other things, he coached the Furman University Mock Trial Team from 1996 to 2000, having led them to First Place in the "Silver" National Tournament, and Second Place in the National Tournament.
