Tim Burns uses the law to empower his clients to receive the benefits they deserve.
He understands both sides of disability law and uses that knowledge to help disabled clients.
Tim grew up in Pendleton and attended Pendleton Heights High School. He attended Hanover College, receiving his Bachelor's degree in history in 1991. While an undergrad, Tim pledged Sigma Chi and was active in the Student Activities Organization.
Soon thereafter, Tim began working for the Indiana Department of Disability Determination, processing Social Security claims. It was only after a 10 years with the department that Tim entered law school at the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.
He joined Keller & Keller in 2008, concentrating his practice on Social Security Disability and Veterans Affairs claims. Tim has exercised his legal acumen in a number of important cases.
One such case involved an Indianapolis woman with multiple health issues and served to widen the rules regarding the interpretation of medical opinions. The court accepted Tim's argument and this expanded interpretation has been adopted throughout the Seventh Circuit.
Tim is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, the State Bar of Indiana, the Federal Bar Association of Indiana and the National Association of Social Security Representatives.
