Todd Michael Smayda is a partner in the Tampa office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. where he practices in the areas of medical malpractice, labor and employment law, and general liability defense.
Mr. Smayda earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration on technical writing from the University of South Florida in 1993. He was awarded a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1998. In his final year of law school, he was placed at the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office as one of Florida's Certified Legal Interns. He prosecuted misdemeanor cases in bench and jury trials. Mr. Smayda is also a graduate of the Defense Research Institute's Trial Academy.
Prior to joining Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., he was an associate with Stephens, Lynn, Klein, Lacava, Hoffman & Puya, P.A. in Tampa. He represented various physicians and hospital clients and a number of fire districts throughout the state of Florida. Mr. Smayda has obtained several victories on Motion for Summary Judgment for fire districts and municipal clients in employment cases.
Mr. Smayda is a member of Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Florida Bar. He is admitted to practice law in all courts in the State of Florida and in the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
