Although the majority of my practice is focused on personal injury and business and civil litigation cases, I also have significant experience with family law and criminal law. Personal Injury. I have filed over 200 claims with numerous insurance carriers for wrongful death, truck accident, motor vehicle accident, pedestrian accident, slip & fall, trip & fall, and premises liability cases. Out of 166 claims that were successfully settled, at least 23 settled in litigation. Business & Civil Litigation. On the Plaintiff side, I have prosecuted: over 25 collection suits (5 against guarantors); breach of contract and conversion claims related to a real estate contract; and breach of contract claims related to funding agreements between a fuel supply company and one of its customers. All of these cases resulted in a judgment and/or a settlement that included payment. On the Defense side, I have defended individuals and businesses in the following: 8 collection actions (at least); 3 foreclosure actions; 6 business disputes involving truck use agreements and related joint ventures; 2 over-time wage violation actions in federal court; the enforcement of a frivolous mechanic’s lien; tax suits by county entities; a construction site dispute; and 2 administrative matters. My experience in Family Law started in 2010-2011 with referrals from friends, family and former clients. Since 2012, I have had a consistent caseload of agreed, uncontested and default divorces and the following type of cases: child support enforcement and defense; challenging paternity; adjudication of parentage; modification actions; suits establishing the parent child relationship; and changes of name of adults and children. My experience in Criminal Law is mostly at the federal level and includes the following type of cases: drug trafficking cases, bulk cash smuggling, transporting and harboring unlawful aliens, health care fraud and aggravated identity theft.
