Mr. Griffin was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on July 17, 1945. He attended Tulane University of Louisiana, graduating in 1967. He is a 1970 graduate of Wayne State University School of Law. Mr. Griffin was 1st Lieutenant in the JAGC, U.S. Air Force between 1970 and 1972. He maintains memberships in the Genesee County Bar Association (past president), State Bar of Michigan (past chairperson of the Negligence Section), American Bar Association, Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (past president), Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and was the recipient of the 2001 Michigan Trial Lawyers Association Respected Advocate Award for Defense Counsel, as well as the 2007 Distinguished Case Evaluator of the Year from the Genesee County Bar Association. Mr. Griffin maintains a Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating, the highest possible rating for an attorney for both ethical standards and legal ability. Mr. Griffin maintains a general civil law practice, including personal injury law, mediation, business law and general litigation.
