Mr. Rhoden is a native of the State of South Carolina, being born and raised in Aiken. Mr. Rhoden graduated from Aiken High School in 1973. While at Aiken High, Mr. Rhoden served on Student Council and played varsity tennis for 3 years. During his senior year, he was selected the Most Valuable Player of the tennis team. Mr. Rhoden then attended the University of South Carolina at Aiken where he was elected Student Body President. He was selected twice as Student of the Year and was included twice in the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
After college, Mr. Rhoden enrolled at the University of South Carolina School of Law. While attending law school, Mr. Rhoden received an internship through the United States Department of Justice and interned at the U.S. Attorney's office in Columbia, S.C. Mr. Rhoden received the degree of Juris Doctor in December 1980. Mr. Rhoden was admitted to practice in May of 1981.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Rhoden went to work at the Office of the S.C. Attorney General as a staff attorney. Mr. Rhoden was promoted to Assistant Attorney General and served in the child support enforcement section and later in the Post-Conviction Relief section. Mr. Rhoden left the S.C. General's Office in December 1983 and joined the staff of the Seventh Circuit Solicitor's Office as an Assistant Solicitor in January 1984. In November 1986, Mr. Rhoden entered private practice and opened his office in Gaffney. Mr. Rhoden is also involved in the community. He previously served on the Board of the Cherokee Children's Home. He is a member of the Gaffney Rotary Club. Mr. Rhoden currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Limestone College. Mr. Rhoden has been listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Law. Mr. Rhoden has received the AV Preeminent peer rating from MARTINDALE-HUBBELL.
